The Garden City blog did some great legwork, and got a photo and interview of the Red Ice Cream Truck Guy. Borderline talked about him last year, but didn't get the name.

Wow! I just found your blog and love it (I live in the same neighborhood).
I grew up 5 blocks away from my current home and referred to the Red Ice Cream Truck guy as "the vampire ice cream man", because he had been the same guy selling these treats since I was a kid (and he just didn't seem to age). I was concerned seeing someone new in the truck - thanks for the update!
